Can you revive enemy players in WARDOGS?

Yes. Reviving an enemy is a feature in WARDOGS, not an exploit and not a bug — PapaKow got asked this on 22 September 2026, and the answer is that the game lets you pick up a player from the other team the same way you'd pick up your own.

That's the whole answer. The rest of this is the story and the awkward question underneath it.

The sniper who revived the man he'd just killed

A mate of mine — he plays a lot of games, just not shooters — was up on a hill sniping. Another sniper killed him. Then that same sniper walked over, revived him, and said, "Hey mate, let's just kill the other team."

So now you've got two enemy players shooting at what I'm assuming was the team that was actually winning. And he was coordinating it: "Do not shoot in this direction. Those are my teammates."

He asked me whether that counts as teaming.

Is reviving an enemy considered teaming in WARDOGS?

No — not on its own. The revive is a feature the devs put in, so using it isn't teaming. If the game hands you a tool, using the tool is playing the game.

Now that I think about it, I don't know if it's good or bad for the game. It's the kind of thing that makes a WARDOGS lobby feel like a place with people in it rather than a set of red outlines, and I like that. But two snipers on a hill calling off shots at each other's mates is a long way from "we both happened to be standing here".

Where does it stop being a feature?

Where it stops being one lobby and starts being a plan — and for me that line sits at the Discord call. Two randoms reviving each other mid-fight is WARDOGS working as intended. Two full teams in the same voice channel, agreeing not to shoot each other so they can take a third team apart together, is a different thing. I wouldn't say that's griefing, but it's a type of griefing, and the team on the receiving end isn't having a game — they're having a bad time that was arranged for them.

I'm not asking for a patch. I don't want the revive touched. It's just interesting food for thought: could two teams grief a third this way, and is that unfair, or is that simply what a big open lobby looks like?

So should you do it?

If someone revives you, take it and see what happens. Worst case you get a story out of it — my mate did, and he doesn't even play shooters.
