PapaKow
The fine print

Terms of use

The deal between you and papakow.com, without the legalese. Last updated 6 September 2026.

Template notice: drafted as a sensible starting point for an independent creator site. Not legal advice — Karl should review it before relying on it.

The basics

papakow.com (“the site”) is run by Karl (“PapaKow”), an individual in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. By using the site you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you don't agree, don't use the site.

Accounts

  • You sign in with an existing Twitch, Kick, YouTube (Google), Discord or Steam account. You are responsible for keeping that account secure.
  • You need to be at least 16 to create an account, and at least 18 to buy a membership or send a tip.
  • One person, one account. Don't impersonate anyone — including Karl or the mods.
  • Karl can suspend or delete accounts that break these terms or the community rules.

Chat and community rules

The community rules apply everywhere: site chat, Discord, and anything relayed from Twitch, Kick or YouTube. In short: respect people, no spam or ads, keep it clean, no cheating, mods' call is final. Mods can delete messages, time you out or ban you, and their decisions are final.

Memberships and tips

  • Memberships are monthly subscriptions billed in Australian dollars through Stripe. They renew automatically until you cancel from your account page; cancelling stops the next charge and your perks run to the end of the paid period.
  • Prices, tiers and perks are shown on the membership page and can change; changes apply from your next billing period and are announced in advance.
  • Tips are one-off voluntary payments and are not refundable.
  • Refunds for memberships are handled case by case — if something went wrong (double charge, no access), get in touch within 14 days and it will be sorted. Nothing here removes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
  • Perks are things like members-only content, chat badges, vote weight and draw entries. They are not investments, not currency and not transferable.

ClutchPoints, votes and giveaways

ClutchPoints have no cash value and can be reset, adjusted or removed at any time (for example, to fix a bug or a cheater). Loadout votes and requests are suggestions — Karl decides what actually happens on stream. Giveaways and the monthly draw are open to eligible community members as announced at the time; winners may need to provide contact details to receive a prize. Where local law requires, a giveaway may be limited to certain countries.

Content

  • Streams, clips, journal posts, artwork and the PapaKow name and logo belong to Karl. You can share links and short excerpts with credit; don't re-upload full streams or sell anything with the branding on it without asking.
  • Game footage and names belong to their publishers. Game hubs describe games for the purpose of commentary and community.
  • Anything you post (chat, requests, contact messages) stays yours, but you give Karl permission to show it on the site, on stream and in clips. Don't post things you don't have the right to post.
  • Karl can remove any content for any reason.

Third-party services

The site embeds Twitch, YouTube and (via links) Kick, and uses Stripe for payments and Discord for the community. Those services have their own terms. If one of them changes or goes down, parts of the site may stop working.

No guarantees

The site is provided as-is. Karl runs it in his spare time and will do his best to keep it online, but there is no promise it will be available at any particular time, that the schedule won't change, or that a stream will happen. To the extent the law allows, Karl is not liable for losses from using (or not being able to use) the site. Your consumer-law rights are not affected.

Changes and law

These terms may change; the date at the top is updated when they do and significant changes are flagged in the journal or on stream. The laws of Queensland, Australia apply, and any dispute goes to the courts of Queensland. Questions: use the contact page.
