Does WARDOGS have Australian servers?
Yes. WARDOGS runs official Oceania servers, confirmed by a Bulkhead developer on the Steam forums in August 2026 ahead of the Early Access launch.
Yes. WARDOGS has official Oceania servers, and Bulkhead confirmed OCE support before launch — but at Early Access launch on 10 September 2026 Australian players reported every OCE server full with queues behind them.
This is the question every Australian asks before buying a shooter, and the guide sites answer it from the other side of the world. PapaKow plays WARDOGS from Brisbane on stream, so this page tracks what OCE players are actually getting — servers, queues and real ping — and gets updated as it changes.
These are PapaKow's own readings on stream, not numbers copied from another site.
| Server | From | Ping | Measured |
|---|---|---|---|
| Official OCE (Sydney) | Brisbane, QLD | Not measured yet | — |
| Community OCE | Brisbane, QLD | Not measured yet | — |
| US West (fallback)What you get when OCE is full. | Brisbane, QLD | Not measured yet | — |
Readings go up here after the next stream on WARDOGS. Nothing gets published in this table that has not actually been measured.
Yes. A Bulkhead developer confirmed OCE support on the Steam forums on 11 August 2026, saying there were five OCE servers running in closed alpha and that the region would be supported at launch. WARDOGS went into Steam Early Access on 10 September 2026, published by Team17.
That is the real question, and at launch the answer was often no. On 10 September 2026 Australian players on the Steam discussions reported roughly 93 OCE servers online with all of them full and queues of 15 to 50 players behind each one. Several players said community OCE servers were up but rough — lag and desync — and at least one was talking about refunding over it. Server count appears to scale with demand but looked capped around 100 at that point.
On an official OCE server, east-coast Australian players should be in double digits. The number that matters is what you get when OCE is full and you are pushed to US West, which is where the game stops being competitive. PapaKow measures both from Brisbane on stream — the table above is his own readings, not numbers copied off another site.
If you can get on an OCE server, yes — the game itself reviewed well, sitting at 85% positive across roughly 40,500 Steam reviews as of 19 September 2026. The risk is queueing, not the game. If you mostly play outside Australian peak hours, you will have an easier time of it. Watch a couple of hours of OCE gameplay before you spend the money.

Demand outran capacity at launch. On 10 September 2026 players reported about 93 OCE servers, all full, with queues of 15 to 50 players. Servers scale with demand but appeared to cap out near 100 at launch.
You can, and you will be pushed there when OCE is full, but the ping difference is the difference between trading fights and losing them. On a 100-player tactical shooter it is very noticeable.
WARDOGS entered Steam Early Access on 10 September 2026, developed by Bulkhead and published by Team17. Bulkhead has said it expects to stay in Early Access for roughly one to two years.
