Does WARDOGS wipe every season?

Nobody has confirmed that it does. Bulkhead has confirmed exactly one wipe — Season 2, Thursday 15 October 2026 — and that is the game's first progression wipe. They have not said it happens every season. I'm PapaKow, I play WARDOGS on OCE from Brisbane, and most of the panic I've seen this week is people taking a one-off and deciding it's the rule.

Here's what the 15 October wipe actually resets: your purchases, your level and your XP progression. Your in-game cash doesn't just vanish — it converts into Gold Bars you spend on cosmetics in the Black Market. So the grind resets. The money you earned gets turned into something you keep.

Why is WARDOGS wiping progression for Season 2?

This is my read, not something Bulkhead has spelled out, so take it as a player's guess. They've had a full season of data. They're about to ship a pile of changes off the back of it. If you drop all those changes into a live game still carrying Season 1 progression, your new numbers are sitting on top of old numbers and you can't tell what your change actually did.

Wipe it, everyone starts again on the new build, and by the end of Season 2 they've got two clean seasons to put side by side. That's not a rug-pull. That's early access being run the way early access is supposed to be run.

I'll say the honest part as well: they haven't promised this is the last one. If Season 3 turns up with another wipe, nobody was lied to — they only ever confirmed this one. I don't think it becomes a habit, because the reason for this one is a data reason and a data reason doesn't repeat. But that's me guessing, and I'll wear it if I'm wrong.

Should you keep playing before the wipe?

Yes. I'm not telling you to dump your cash in a panic, because it converts anyway. Play the season out, finish what you were chasing, and come back on the 15th with everyone else. The whole lobby resets at the same time, which is the one wipe that's actually fair — nobody gets a head start.
